Vintage Whitman Puzzle 1000 PC Cheese Market (Dutch Alkmaar)

Description

Offered is this nice vintage Whitman jigsaw puzzle, titled "Cheese Market", measuring 21 1/2" x 27 1/2" when the 1000 pieces are assembled, and numbered 4777. Great picture of the famous cheese market near Alkmaar, which is one of the top sights to see in Holland.  During market day, up to a thousand yellow cheeses are laid out, sold, weighed and carried to the trucks.  The carriers use a comical offbeat fast march known as the "cheesemakers' dribble" to maintain balance when carrying the heavy loads!  Pictured are the many customers in front of a backdrop of commercial properties, including "Breda Bier".  Made in U.S.A. by Western Publishing Company, Inc., Racine, Wisconsin.
The pieces are in fine condition, and the puzzle is complete.  Box is in good vintage condition with a slight cave on top (see pictures).
